The Fall season is a beautiful time of year to get outside and feel nature doing its thing. I love walking and crunching through the leaves on the ground. Sometimes I just stand in awe as the sun shines through the golden, red leaves changing colors right before they fall to the ground. I love to watch the leaves dancing in the wind and then a gust of wind comes releasing many into the air to float down like golden stars. I then wonder what is it I would like to release and let go of now? Just like the season it is a good time to consider what is no longer serving me and how should I let it go. I know for sure, after watching the netflix series Maid, I want to give some of my gently worn clothes to a woman’s shelter. They certainly can benefit from them more then I can if I am hardly wearing them!
As I have been studying Positive Intelligence ( which combines my knowledge of positive psychology, cognitive behavior, neuroscience and performance science) I have learned to recognize Saboteurs and how they can hijack your life. They will never disappear forever, but I can develop my mental fitness and let them go more and more. I can do this by becoming more mindful by doing PQ Reps (Positive Intelligence Quotient meditations) which measures the relative strength of your positive mental muscles (Sage) versus the negative (Saboteur).
PQ is the most widely used measure of mental fitness.
Independent researchers have validated this measure to be the greatest predictor of how happy you are, and how well you perform against your potential. I have witnessed the life changing impact this has had on myself personally, my colleagues, and my clients. My Sage moves me into a calmer state where I can handle challenges through positive emotions like empathy, gratitude, curiosity, creativity, self-confidence, and calm, clear-headed, laser-focused action. The underlying voices and fears of the Saboteurs create undue stress, anxiety, anger, guilt, blame. It is possible to shift by changing your neural pathways, strengthening your mental fitness, and raising your PQ ( Positive Intelligent Quotient) If you would like to explore Positive Intelligence further I have been given a grant to offer to my clients the 8 week program where you can strengthen your mental fitness and take charge of your saboteurs.
